The Train Test Lab has successfully been opened with a small ceremony on September 15th 2023 in Berlin. After a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Patrick Seeßle (DB Cargo) with Dr. Armin Günther (DB Cargo), Anna Björkman (Lindholmen Science Park), Ralf Marxen (Deutsche Bahn), Hans-Christian Hilse (Knorr-Bremse) and Daniel Wolfram (DB Cargo) the lab was inaugurated with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Train Test Lab is THE central testing facility for components in our project and is represented through Work Package 14 with its lead Daniel Wolfram (DB Cargo). At the Lab there are several tracks for testing, workshops for mounting and offices for meeting and working together. The lab is situated at the Havelländische Eisenbahn (HVLE) in Berlin-Spandau and is accessible for all project members.
The opening was part of Tag der Schiene (Day of the Rail), a day of action that takes place annually throughout Germany and on which many different railway stakeholders present themselves.
