Recipients of Funds and Annual List of Specific Contracts

Article 15 (Principle of transparency) of the EU-Rail financial rules (*) states that the JU shall make available on its internet site no later than 30 June of the following financial year information on the recipients of funds deriving from its budget. Since both the European Commission and the Joint Undertakings (as EU bodies) share the responsibility of making public the actions/research funded and their beneficiaries/contractors, the EU-RAIL recipients of funds is included – as from the financial year 2025 – in the European Commission Financial Transparency System , by including information on the funding coming from EU-RAIL.

(*)In accordance with Council Regulation (EU) 2021/2085 the Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking (EU-Rail) is the legal and universal successor of the former Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking (S2R JU), which it replaced and succeeded. The EU-Rail Governing Board (as well as the EU-Rail Executive Director) have approved the decisions adopted under  the former S2R JU  that will continue to apply to the EU-Rail. As appropriate, references in legal texts and other key documents to S2R JU  shall be construed as references to EU-Rail.

Annual List of Specific Contracts Awarded Based on Framework Contracts

As stated in point 3.3 of the Annex I of the Financial Regulation  2018/1046, the EU-Rail, as a contracting authority, shall publish a list of contracts on its website no later than 30 June of the following financial year for specific contracts and order forms implementing a framework contract.
