Railway corridors are monitored through different inspection systems, generating complementary information on track and overhead line conditions. Integrating these data can make infrastructure monitoring more comprehensive and support more effective maintenance planning.

Europe’s Rail (EU-Rail) has advanced a solution that provides a a web-based platform for visualising different railway corridor survey data streams.
The platform enables the visualisation of the Track and Overhead Line condition data and fuses Track Geometry and Overhead line condition data within the Point Cloud.
The solution is currently at prototype stage.
The solution has achieved a TRL 6. A web-based platform has been developed and validated in a relevant environment using real railway data.
EU-Rail’s next-generation solution brings different railway inspection data streams together in a single visual environment. By combining Track Geometry and Overhead Line condition data within the Point Cloud, it supports earlier fault detection, more informed maintenance decisions and improved infrastructure monitoring.

This solution has been developed within the Europe’s Rail (EU-Rail) Flagship Project FP3-IAM4RAIL. The project FP3-IAM4RAIL focuses on seven different integrated demonstrators for rail assets which are key for research and innovation in the rail sector.
