The Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking (S2R JU) is delighted to announce its dialogue event on the Future of Rail Research and Innovation to be held on 19 June, between 9:00-14:00 in the Square Brussels Convention Centre. The aim of the conference is to address policy and industry expectations, in view of the next programming period of the S2R JU Programme.
The conference will be an ideal platform to bring together the railway stakeholders, and to invite them to present and discuss their different views on the future of rail research and innovation, including in view of contributing to a renewed strategic research and innovation agenda. The event should have a particular focus on how to meet the evolving mobility needs, specific areas of interest, how to bridge the gap between R&I and deployment and the level of ambition of a programme to continue the drastic system transformation initiated within S2R.
The conclusions will be summarised in a document that will support the business case for a strong investment in research and innovation for railway, covering all the aspects of the research and innovation value chain.
