Task 5 is conducting an as-is analysis of current monitoring activities in terms of relevance for harmonisation of diagnostic data exchange, considering operational, functional, logical, and physical assets and identifying issues related to monitoring assets or railway checkpoints.
It prepares the technical concept (requirements for technology and processes; interfaces; embedding in and consistency with planned European structures) for the integration of existing monitoring activities with simultaneous openness for expansion through new use cases or new technological developments. Based on that a set of proven harmonised use cases is generated as the harmonised functional specification for railway diagnostic systems.
