AI for Safer and Smarter Depot Operations

A validation event by and at ENYSE premises was successfully completed on 28 April, when the outcomes regarding conflict detection and conflict resolution based on AI algorithms was presented.  The validation was carried out by ADIF technicians.

This first validation event focused on off-line detection and resolution in busy areas with high performance requirements, such as light rail/metro and commuter lines.

ADIF planning data were used, although they were slightly modified to enable the execution of conflict detection and resolution at strategic, tactical, and operational planning levels.

At this stage, the different alternatives are presented to the user, who must confirm and validate the proposal before it is applied.

The complete developed process and tools to be used were presented, together with the data structure that will allow demonstrating in following the waves their application to depots and terminal stations also in on-line mode, i.e. in real time.
