Flagship 1 Motional: RTTP Updater – Decision support for better traffic flow

This video shows RTTP Updater (Real Time Traffic Plan Updater) which is a demonstration executed in Flagship 1 Motional. RTTP Updater is a support system for the traffic controllers, assisting with the detailed traffic planning. RTTP Updater creates precision in planning, traffic flow and relieves traffic controllers from tedious details in the planning. A key concept is that the traffic controller makes the larger and more important decisions, while RTTP Updater automatically handles the small adjustments needed for maximum traffic flow. The improvements are considered to be a very important piece of the puzzle to get the full benefit of connected driver assistance systems (C-DAS). RTTP Updater developments and demonstrations will continue in Flagship 1 Motional 2 (currently under Grant Agreement Preparation), aiming for higher technical maturity.
