FP1 and FP2 will be presenting various virtual demos throughout the event. More information will be announced soon!

DEMO 5: Discover how railway air quality and surface treatment technologies work in practice. The setup includes a PEPA-F filter with micro-sensors, LED sanitizing lights, and a live dashboard showing real-time air quality data and performance. You can compare filtration performance through a visual smoke demonstration using special glasses, clearly seeing differences in air quality. You can also interact with physical components and screens that present real applications used in trains.

We are delighted to invite you on 22 and 24 September 2026, at Havelländische Eisenbahn (HVLE), Spandau (Berlin), to the demonstration event showcasing the
direct comparison between the new developed “DAC Basic Package” and the current screw coupler technology to build up a train in yard operation.
More than a technical demonstration, this represents a major milestone in Europe’s transition from traditional systems to fully digital freight train operations, helping ensure that Europe remains at the forefront of the global rail industry.
Join us to experience the efficiency advantage of a Full Digital Freight Train in operation with new DAC technology!
This initiative is led by rail stakeholders involved in European DAC Research and Innovation activities and, organised in collaboration with Europe’s Rail, DB, HVLE, FSI, Jernbane-Directoratet, Knorr-Bremse, ÖBB, RLE, Stadler, Voith, Wabtec, Dellner.
You can check the agenda here, where you’ll also find details about the free transport arrangements available to reach the venue from the fair site.
On 23 September, a High-level Demonstration will take place, convening high-level representatives from across the rail ecosystem, including European institutions, trade unions, industry leaders, and sector associations. Together, they will highlight and promote the core values advanced by European rail as part of the European way of life: sustainability, connectivity, and cooperation.
