FP4-Rail4EARTH in Rail Live! 2023, Madrid

FP4-Rail4EARTH was also represented at Rail Live! 2023, which took place in Madrid from 29 November to 1 December 2023, with the presence of some Spanish partners involved in the project.

Notably, COMSA had a dedicated poster and presentation, where they had the opportunity to showcase the Neobalast research which, amongst others, is improving the anti-vibration and anti-noise performance.

Adif was also able to showcase the project developments currently being undertaken in FP4-Rail4EARTH, in connection with other sustainability projects and with a focus on hydrogen applications in the Spanish railway network. Óscar Puente, the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Spain had the opportunity to visit the fair and the Adif stand. During his speech, he put the focus on the railroad as “the centrepiece” to achieve sustainable, healthy and safe transport and mobility and to decarbonize the economy, stressing that “the railroad is a priority for the Government of Spain”. The Spanish government and the ministry will therefore continue to bet on its development and the improvement of its reliability and capacity.
