Remote Train Operation (RTO) Demonstrator Online Workshop – 12 June

The FP6 FutuRe project invites stakeholders to a public dissemination workshop presenting the Remote Train Operation (RTO) demonstrator, developed within Task 8.2 and led by TRV in collaboration with NRD.

The workshop will present key results from the development and testing of Remote Train Operation as a fallback for Automatic Train Operation with Grade of Automation 3/4, with a specific focus on regional line applications. To validate selected use cases and assess the operational benefits, demonstration activities have been carried out in representative environments in Sweden and Norway,

Participants will gain insights into:

• Project overview
• RTO concept
• Demonstrated use cases
• System architecture, technical development and test setup
• Test results
• Lessons learned

The workshop is open to railway stakeholders, industry representatives, research organizations, and all parties interested in the future of digital and automated regional rail services.
