The FP6 FutuRe project invites stakeholders to a public dissemination workshop presenting the multi-bearer communication platform demonstrator for regional railways, developed by Hitachi in collaboration with FS.
This workshop will showcase the testing and validation of a communication platform integrating 4G/5G, satellite over public network infrastructures. The demonstrator aims to assess the feasibility and performance of multi-bearer solutions supporting both vital and non-vital railway applications in regional line environments.

The session will also present results from testing activities carried out in a representative environment, highlighting the potential benefits and challenges of using public network infrastructures for future railway communication systems.
The workshop is open and could provide relevant information to railway stakeholders, telecom operators, industry representatives, research organisations, and all parties interested in the evolution of digital communication technologies in regional rail.
