As Europe’s railways expand, their safety and efficiency depend increasingly on knowing every train’s position....
The InnoTrans trade fair, the biggest event in the rail industry calendar, will no longer take place in September 2020.
InnoTrans was to have been held on September 22-25 in Berlin. However, as part of measures to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, the Berlin senate issued a decree on April 21 banning events with more than 5,000 people from taking place in the city before 24 October 2020.
InnoTrans 2018 attracted 3,062 exhibitors from 61 countries, and 153,421 trade visitors from 149 countries.
The organisers are currently identifying an alternative date for the event in the Spring of 2021, and will announce it by the end of April or at the latest in early May.
Shift2Rail looks forward to showcasing its latest solutions at this important event in 2021, in a landmark year which will launch the future Programme and will also be host to the European Year of Rail.
