After the successful Rail Live 2022, in Malaga, Spain, Europe’s Rail was once more present for the 2023 edition, this time in Madrid. The three-day event, spanning from 29 November to 1 December brought together operators, infrastructure managers, rolling stock manufacturers, researchers, and suppliers seeking to promote rail for both people and goods.
This year, Europe’s Rail was intervening in four pivotal moments during the conference.
- On Thursday, 30 November, our Senior Programme Manager, Javier Ibáñez de Yrigoyen, participated in a session focused on freight titled “The role of Europe’s Rail in delivering transformation in Freight” and gave participants insight into the EU-Rail Programme. Mr Ibáñez de Yrigoyen also took part in the Europe’s Rail session on freight, centred on DAC and organised in collaboration with our European DAC Delivery Programme.
- On Thursday, 30 November our Seconded National Expert, Karel Van Gils, contributed to discussions on “What does the future of FRMCS implementation look like for operators and infrastructure managers?”.
- During the last day of Rail Live, on Friday, 1 December, our Executive Director a.i., Giorgio Travaini took part in a session dedicated to Smart Infrastructure, where participants will be updated on Europe Rail’s focus on asset management innovation.
