ETCS HTD demonstrator for regional railways Demonstrator online workshop – 8 July 2026

The FP6 FutuRe project invites stakeholders to a dissemination workshop presenting the ETCS HTD demonstrator for regional railways, developed within WP8/Task 8.3 by Alstom in collaboration with RFI and ADIF.

The scope of workshop is to showcase the main results of the deployment on an ETCS L2 application – based on standard HTD principles – on a G1 regional line, having the goal to contribute to the achievement of some of the Socio-Economic Objectives (SEO) identified inside the Grant Agreement.

The demonstrator has been based on the execution of predefined Use Case on a laboratory testbench fully representative of a real regional railway line.

Participants will get good insights into:

• Goals, method and engineering concepts adopted in the demonstrator;
• Description of test bench architecture, testing methodology and video replay of executed tests;
• Main considerations derived from the analysis of the most relevant Use Cases;

During the workshop some possible evolutions/simplifications of the current HTD principles will be pointed out in order to support acceptable operational performances on a G1 Regional line.
