ProRail and NS are set to host the fifth edition of the Europe’s Rail Community Days in the Netherlands, bringing together key stakeholders from across the rail sector to share insights, discuss progress and explore future innovations within the framework of Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking (ERJU) projects.
The event will take place on 9 July 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00, at the NS Headquarters (Hoofdkantoor NS) in Utrecht. It will focus on presenting and discussing the results achieved so far, offering attendees a comprehensive overview of advancements and practical outcomes from ongoing initiatives.
Following the morning sessions, participants will have the opportunity to continue conversations and strengthen connections during a networking lunch.
The event is being led by Rian Hartman, Programme Management Officer for the Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking at NS and ProRail, on behalf of the NS–ProRail EU Rail Programme team.
Among the contributors, the FP3-IAM4RAIL team will present its latest results, including cutting-edge data-driven solutions for switches and crossings as well as track components. These innovations promote advanced sensing technologies such as LiDAR, laser Doppler vibrometry, axle box acceleration and video imaging, demonstrating significant progress in monitoring, diagnostics and infrastructure performance.
The Europe’s Rail Community Days continue to serve as a key platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange and shaping the future of rail innovation across Europe.
