Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking (S2R JU) welcomes the new Executive Director S2R JU is delighted to announce the nomination of Carlo Borghini as its new Executive Director. The Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking launched the first calls for proposals for S2R JU members (CFM) and non-JU members (OC), aimed at driving innovation in railways, under Horizon 2020. Following its formal adoption by the European Union’s Council of Ministers on June 16, the Shift2Rail Joint Technology Initiative was launched at a conference in Brussels on July 9 alongside six other JTIs under the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research programme. Railway Gazette
