The 2nd edition of our European Year of Skills 2023 video series is now available. Listen as we share personal experiences of our Founding Members, partners and staff though video messages, encouraging young people to build their careers in rail.

Learn directly from people in the industry wat are the skills you can develop while working in rail, what skills are necessary to have and what skills are used daily. This way we are putting skills centre-stage and promoting a mindset of reskilling and upskilling. We are bringing organisations and people together to share their experiences and insights.

This month, hear from Mr Ove Skovdahl, International Coordinator at our Founding Member Norwegian Railway Directorate. The Norwegian Railway Directorate is the coordinating agency for Norway’s railway sector. The Directorate advises the Ministry on all matters involving railways and rail transport and is authorised to requisition services from the infrastructure manager and train operating companies.

Mr Luc Imbert, R&D Engineer in the Brakes and Safety Division of our Founding Member Faiveley Transport (Wabtec Corporation) and Ms Ambra Boggione R&D Project Manager in the Transit Segment of Faiveley Transport (Wabtec Corporation) are also sharing their insights to the skills you should expect to identify in the railway supply sector. Faiveley Transport, designs, manufactures, markets and maintains a wide variety of advanced components, systems and services that enable customers to build and operate trains and buses that are safe, reliable and cost-efficient throughout their life cycle.
