The railway research program Europe’s Rail (EU-RAIL) adopts a comprehensive, system-wide approach to advancing rail transport across Europe, covering both passenger and freight services.

The session will begin with a welcome and introduction by Anders Carolin, Program Manager for Europe’s Rail at the Swedish Transport Administration. Following this, the spotlight will be on key innovation projects driving the transformation of the European rail system.

A dedicated focus will be given to the following flagship projects within the EU-RAIL program:

  • FP5 – TRANS4M-R

  • FP3 – IAM4RAIL

  • FP1 – MOTION

  • FP6 – FutuRe

  • FP2 – R2DATO

  • FP4 – RAIL4EARTH

  • PODS4RAIL

  • FP10

These projects represent critical pillars in the effort to create a more efficient, sustainable and digitally enhanced rail network across Europe.
