Projects worth €21,2 million, are expected to be funded under the Europe’s Rail 2023 Call for Proposals for Europe’s Rail Destination 1,dedicated to network management planning and control, and mobility management in a multimodal environment, and digital enablers, as well as Destination 8 (exploratory research and other activities), within the framework of the Europe’s Rail Amended Annual Work Programme 2023-2024. The application period is now open and submissions will be accepted until 7 February 2024 at 17:00CET.
With this Call for Proposals, the Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking intends to build synergies with the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking, promoting an integrated air and rail network backbone for a sustainable and energy efficient multimodal transport system in Europe. The topic further supports the work done in Europe’s Rail Flagship Area 1 dedicated to network management planning and control, and mobility management in a multimodal environment, and digital enablers. In addition, with this Call, Europe’s Rail will strengthen its exploratory research activities, essential pathfinders for future R&I, covering topics such as noise and vibration, future metro systems, biodiversity, disruptive assets management solutions, extending the network of PhDs, and DAC fleet retrofitting and capacity plan.
Please note that proposals may be edited and re-submitted multiple times until the Call deadline/cut-off date, using the same proposal number. The system will only keep the most recent version that is submitted.
After the call deadline, the proposal may normally no longer be changed nor supplemented, unless it is to correct an obvious clerical error.
Candidates therefore take full responsibility for submitting and validating their proposal before the Call deadline.
Please note that all Call related questions shall be addressed only to the Europe’s Rail Call helpdesk, writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Answers will be anonymised and published on a regular basis in the Funding and Tender Portal and on this Europe’s Rail webpage up to 14 days before the Call closure deadline.
In this respect, participants are encouraged to take into account, in their proposal preparation, the clarifications to Call-related issues that can be brought by the Europe’s Rail through the Q&A mechanism. The deadline for Q&A related to this Europe’s Rail Call for Proposals is Wednesday 24 January 2024 at 17:00 (Brussels Local Time).

*Please note that the matchmaking platform is complementary and does not replace the European Commission tools allowing applicants to look for partners.
